No reason he can't be productive right away running slants or other quick plays. He can slowly work into the more complex routes.

Maybe, but also Gordon has lots of history with the wco offense. He started his career with shurmur/Childress and most recently worked under Brian Schottenheimer. Had a great year in a pure west coast offense as a rookie. Did particularly well in norvs Coryell offense. So the guy for being a degenerate seems to pick up on tricky offenses quickly.

It absolutely IS a panic move, but the panic seems to be justified because everyone outside of Hill is trash

Hopefully it goes down like Megatron describes… give him a few simple routes to start and build from there as the season progresses

Hell maybe we get lucky here, and he’s finally ready to end his career on a HIGH note!
