Yeah, I would agree.

It's the problem we had for a few decades. If you don't have a top quarterback, you're screwed. The only times we've had a top QB, we've also had good coaching, so I don't know the relationship there, but it seems like having both good coaching and a good QB is a winning formula.

I wonder how many good QBs have prevailed with bad coaching, and how many good QBs have failed with bad coaching. It might be hard to separate those two things. I think a really good QB will make the coach look good.

I disagree. Clearly, the Broncos need to put Elway back in complete command. Their success has been so closely entwined with Elway that there is just no arguing that he is the sole reason for whatever success that franchise has ever had. He needs to be made head coach and general manager. Hell, he should even suit up and play QB. Keep him in charge until the day he dies and then hold seances to divine his will for the franchise from beyond the great divide. John Elway IS the Denver Broncos.

I still think that elway is actively undermining the Bowlen daughters to coerce a cheap fire sale to him.

I can't see how Elway could swing that. The value of the franchise has to be at least $2.5 billion. There's no way Elway could come up with that much scratch. He might be able to form a group of owners, but even then he'd have to be a minority partner.

I love comments like this. I mean, I make this self-deprecating comment about our situation. There's no boasting involved - it's basically, "Man, we're good at being bad!" And you - what - make this awkward comment that sort of ups the ante on the disparaging thing I already said? It's like you were a little slow on the uptake with the original comment.

I read your response, and all I could think of was Nelson saying it.

I dont know the answer, but you have to figure the pats v jets and steelers v browns have to be in the running.

Edit: looks like the dolphins hold the record over the bills at 20 in a row

John Elway and Payton Manning buy the Broncos with 500 million cash and 175 papa johns locations as collateral.

Which is perfect. Not enough wins to make the playoffs, but too many wins to get an elite QB (if there are any to be had this year).

Yeah MHM we know. My hatred grew for Denver in the late 70's when I was a kid. Watching Denver beat our ass and them showing that butt plug barrel man dancing on the TV. One day I will complete my pledge to go and piss on his grave before I die
