I can't remember where I read it, but I read something where he said that, while he stayed in shape, he didn't feel that he was in football shape and had a hard road of workouts ahead to get back.

I’m guessing that the RG spot is open for competition between LDT, Long and T. Smith. One of those 3 will be the best man and pull through.

He's not going anywhere this year. Next year might be a different story, however. He's an UFA next year and may just decide to call it a NFL career. Has he quit the doctoring business and is getting back into "footall shape"? If he is, Long will be the 3rd option with Smith being #2. Remember, he's Canadian, so that $4.75M is close to $5.75M in Montreal. Pretty nice nest egg.
