I think you're probably right.

Combine the Johnston and Flowers stuff with Taylor saying the Chiefs want a WR, and the fact that they have done nothing outside of adding depth (James and Watson), and it's starting to look like that's the position they're eyeing in round 1.

Mixed thoughts on this. Seems like this would indicate WR in the first is a strong possibility however by doing this aren't you kind of showing your cards? Veach has been the best poker player in the draft

I have said that since the first of the year, I expect a trade up for a WR in the first. With the draft in KC I believe that Clark wants to make a splash that gets talked about the next day.

They’ve been doing it forever. I recall a story years ago about Troy Aikman working out with LeFluer and fixing the Cowboys the thumbs up with either he or Gonzalez LOL.

Or it could be a screen. Bring in WRs to work out with Mahomes knowing that they probably won't be there at 31. It gives you an opportunity to have more info in case they fall...but it also hides your intention of drafting another player/position.

It also could be something as simple as seeing the style that Mahomes prefers as Johnston and Flowers are completely polar opposite style of receivers.

They've only had a butt ton of guys in on visits, it's all wide open at this point.

He’s ruined for life now. He’s going to get drafted by a team with shit at QB and the guy will always be asking “what if”.

This actually does make sense, seems way too obvious. Maybe spooking other teams to trading up and taking these guys so someone else falls to them that they have their eye on.

Guess we'll see if a mysterious video of Zay Flowers in a gas mask appears before the draft.
