Star Wars: The Mandalorian

Jon Favreau is directing this live-action TV series.

Looks TIGHT.

Quote:
Production on the first Star Wars live-action streaming series has begun!

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.

The series will be written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, as previously announced, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode.

Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

It will be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer. Stay tuned to StarWars.com for updates.

That was not at all what I was anticipating. But I really like that because of the complete unknown factor. Lots of rumors depicting the Armorer as a pretty clear traitor, and Thrawn showing up, etc. But still, I really liked the ending.

Like I get this season wasn't as good, but if Filoni is just going to keep making mouse droid jokes, I'm good with that

Still can’t understand the need for basically an entire episode on croissant. What a waste. The finale was good though.

I liked the episode.

I can't really say why I like the story, but I'm here for it. I can't really point out what works for me, but I really like it. It all worked for me.

It certainly isn't perfect, but it works for me. And I found the end tremendously satisfying.

And I did laugh at the mouse droid stuff, especially the one that lemminged his ass off the edge.

Can't wait for the next season. I love this shit.

That was brilliantly set up by R5 peering over the edge and warbling.

And also 30 years of Star Wars computer games.

Sure doesn't seem to be a need, does there?

Seems more set up for a spin-off.

Apparently they are filming S4 soon. The dork videos I watch seem to think all these Mando-era series (Fett, Mando, Ahsoka, and apparently Skeleton Crew (?)) are supposed to end with some movie or some shit. I don't know. We'll see what gets made, but apparently S4 is on the way.

Yes, they've announced that all of the Disney+ Star Wars shows (aside from Andor) will culminate in a movie.
