I'm just looking at the stats of that team again and Grimes' numbers were unfathomably bad (only topped by Charlie Moore who may have been the worst scholarship player in school history).

Yeah it really is addition by subtraction. I have no doubt he will develop into a reasonable college player should he choose to stick it out somewhere, but he was given more than enough opportunities to succeed and just couldn't do it.

Instead of Moore + Grimes minutes, even if just Garrett got them all that is better.

Heres some good news. He shot 42% from 3 last year.

Dotson should be able to get him some open looks. We should also dominate the offensive boards to create kick out opportunities for open 3’s.

I watch Iowa Hoops too so I'll give you my 2- cents on the kid.

Good shooter. Probably just needs to focus on being a spot up 3 point shooter in the half court offense at Kansas though. He's not very effective when he tries to create his own shot, even though he looks pretty good doing it but he just misses. He's just not very efficient scoring inside the arc unless it's a fast break.

Was one of the best athletes on Iowa, but they aren't a very athletic team. Okay defender.

I think we're going to get both of them. Self must be sitting in his office by himself tapping his fingertips together while laughing maniacally.
