Considering take a vacation up north

The wife and I are strongly considering heading up to the Wyoming/Montana area, who's been and what is there to do?

This is also kind of a scouting trip as this is an area that's on the list of where we may eventually move.

I've been to Belize twice...

True story here, it's pretty but I ****ING HATE BEING HOT, and as I get older I like people less so going somewhere colder and less populated sounds pleasant.

I get that. We are going in July, which is the off season (the rainy season) but the weather down there is like 78 degrees on average according to the resort website. I dunno, I don't like being too hot (****ed up and went to Florida last summer...holy shit...) but I don't think it'll be too bad.

One of these years we're gonna get to the Northwest. Looks beautiful for sure.

If you stay by the ocean Belize will feel fine, if you get inland it feels like ****ing death, like if you go see the Mayan ruins you will feel like someone poured water in all of your orifices from sweat.

We're staying at a resort on the coast. There is a one day trek to the Mayan ruins we will go on, so I'm ready for some serious humidity but I can't wait to see them.

I was in Guatemala a few years back and while humid, it didn't seem to awfully hot. We were there in July too, but I think it's milder at that time or something.

Belize inland I'm sure will be quite similar to Guatemala.

I thought I was the only idiot that did that! The heat index was 107! Even the water was hot…

These are 2 reasons I like in AK. It’s 2.3x the size of TX with a total population 10% of the DFW metro area.

Wife and I were looking to do the same back in 2019. Ended up going to Scotland, it was less expensive. Hawaii would have been less expensive at the time.

HA! Scotland and England were close runners up for the same reason. It's amazing that a trip here in America costs less than a trip abroad.

I'm guessing if you were traveling I-70 and were in Montana it would be quite a shock!
