2019 Free agency Thread

We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

Clowney is one of the more disappointing players in recent memory. The guy has JJ Watt playing next to him and could never muster a single season of double-digit sacks.

He is also almost as bad as Ford against the run.

Do. Not. Want.

Clowney isn’t as good as Ford when it comes to rushing the passer but his run defense is a lot better

Yeah if we could get Clowney for 2 2nds I’d be down.

The thought of ****ing Jones and Clowney together on the defensive line is making me horny

Waynes is a guy who probably wouldn’t require much in a trade and you could just let walk after this year until you find a long term replacement. Howard is a guy who would cost a bit in a trade and you’d need to then make him maybe the highest paid corner in football to make it worth your trouble.
Howard is so much far superior of a corner. He had a 77 pff grade while Waynes was a 69. I’ll take the better corner and extend him

Clowney is a good run defender.

Um, no.

He's not the pass rusher Ford is. True.

He has an injury history. True.

But it is certainly not true he's bad against the run.

That’s not a big enough difference to justify making him the highest paid corner, which is what he will want

I'm pretty "meh" about the idea, and I sure as **** don't want to pay his bill.

Howard has said he wants to be the highest-paid CB in the league. That's a problem.

Only then till Ramsey is signed and other corners then trump his contract. Happens all the time. I’ve watched Howard. He’s by far better. 1st in INTs and 5th in passer rating allowed

I don’t love the idea of paying him.

I do love the idea of watching him in a Chiefs uniform.

Howard does have great ball skills. But how does he hold up against top flight receivers? That’s what you need to know before dealing for him

This clinchedit for me: I WANT CLOWNEY.

If nothing else, then we can have a season comparing him to Dee Ford. It'll be like the Sunnis vs the Shiites on CP.
