Sutton ****ing sucked but Hitchens did himself absolutely no favors. It's up to him and House to get him back to his Dallas form.

One thing that get lost in the scheme fit issue is the fact that Hitchens absolutely was not healthy for most of the year.

With Reek scoring a TD every time he has touched the ball in camp, it has overshadowed how great Watkins looks. Watkins has been just as impossible to cover.

Don't they all score a td every time they touch the ball in camp? I've seen plays he definitely would have been tackled. But he does look great.

I guess I should have said- "most" every time. He has been burning every CB we have. Kind of hard to tackle him chasing from 3 yards back.

Can't speak to sports dealmaking specifically, but I work under contract and all the negotiations are split into three categories. Compensation is first, then terms, then language. (Oddly the actual term of the contract is part of compensation, not terms!) If they are similar formats at all, language is the part where the business people are done and the lawyers take over.

He will look like a bargain.
Then in all likelihood he'll be traded for a 2nd round pick.

They can't afford him next year. They'll save $15 million on the cap by moving on from him - this is the penance they'll serve for getting him relatively cheap last season.

The only way Watkins is here next season is if Hill isn't. They cannot afford to keep both guys.

Also a few other things to add in: He was the worst linebacker in coverage last year and Dallas let him walk for nothing. He was overrated by many on here and Veach overpaid for him.

Yep, I think he will change a lot of peoples minds this year.he was pretty damn good in Dallas the year before. I just don’t see the guy going to shit in one season. It had to be scheming or coaching or injury?

There are a few endings on this one.

The most likely is yes, he gets cut. The only other one is either he or the Chiefs or both decide that him being here is valuable so they rework a new deal that makes his cap number low again.

I don't think that's very likely and if it were to happen it would be because he either loves being here or he had another meh year.

He was a totally different player in Dallas, and the Cowboys would’ve liked to keep him at the right price, but they had no choice but to “let him walk for nothing” because he was a free agent. You could say that every time a free agent signs somewhere else. Really dumb even for Billay.

And yes we overpaid. And we did it agin this year. I don’t give a **** though because I’d rather overpay and add talent while we can as opposed to sitting on cap space like the Colts and not getting much better in the offseason. This is the time to spend. You idiots that bitch about overpaying can’t get it through your ****ing heads.

I was absolutely expecting the offense to regress a bit just because last year it was just so good. It was historically good.

But between Mahomes looking supposedly clearly better, Hill right in his prime, Watkins looking healthy and great, my man Robinson ready to finally show his potential, newcomer Hardman who should definitly contribute, I'm not so sure this offense will regress.

I know it's all offseason talk but if the Oline holds up, man this offense will be good again.

Watkins probably has a really good year this year but I bet he takes a little discount to stay and catch passes from the Superbowl MVP. I mean he's already a multimillionaire.
