The CGI looks straight-to-SyFy bad.

I do like the homages to the source material, though, with the Doberman, licker, and bald zombie feeding in the mansion.

Wow finally they're making a Resident Evil movie based on the source material. Can't wait to see it.

The trailer gave off a lot of Silent Hill vibes with the sirens though...

I really want to like this franchise more than i do. I played the original games back on, what was it, PS1?

But the movies...the games that have come out since then...meh. None of it has really grabbed me.

Admittedly, I haven't been playing them, but based on consensus it seems like RE4 was the last great video game installment. I used to play that with my buddy back in the mid-2000s.

RE4 was great, too. I've spoken to a lot of people who shit on the franchise because you can't run while you're shooting lol that's never anything that bothered me but a complaint I've heard many times over the years.

I'm very hyped for RE4 on my Oculus. This looks really shitty. It's obvious this one seems like it will be closer to the source material than most of the other movies. I can only imagine the amount of fan service that will be stuffed into it, and like other's said, it looks very low budget.
