The Motorcycle Discussion Thread

I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.

Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)

Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:

Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel

Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too.
http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75

Mt Magazine is amazing, and a great ride. Just don't look at a map and say "its only that far." Its further.
16 runs west out of fayettville, and is packed with turns. There is a sweet camp ground about 10 miles out of town too, that is a great place to stay. Also, 12 runs from rogers, south of beaver, and puts you out on the pig trail just south of Eureka. The saying me and my buddy have, and its only half joking, when someone asks if we know a good road, "go down that way and turn left." Seems pretty accurate.

rode all over town today. finding reason after reason to 'get back out' to run an errand etc. even found myself riding to various Pawn Shops for whatever reason FFS

meeting up with my brother and a riding buddy to go to Kobis tonight, and maybe another stop or two.

Winter can't be over with fast enough. I forgot how therapeutic riding is for my mind. feel great after riding for most of the day.

Same here, for the car inspected early then jumped on Emmanuel and ran a bunch of errands. Property tax, license bureau, etc. not a bad day, starting to chill now so came home.

I put the Jag in the shop today. when I got back I noticed there was no more sodas in the frig so I took the Buell out looking... it's been a few hours and damned if I could not find the right soda... guess I'll take another shot at it here in a few..

Dam Seofred, nice Bike. I love the look of those Victory's.
I wish we had 70 Degree weather.
We had 45 last Saturday and I rode a few miles and I was cold.
Last night I rode about 25 miles, just because I had to get my Triumph up to my buddies house to get it worked on. It was 22 degrees with winds blowing at 25 mph. I had Long undies, pants and then CarHarts on, and by the time I got to his shop I had the shivers so bad.
We are doing the Service Interval on my Tiger. Doing all the Valve Checks.
I love the internet. YouTube had the video right there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQjDfC87NxA

Hopefully the valve clearance is all good. Otherwise I have to go deeper in to change the shims. Of course that's on YouTube as well.
