Ive been tracking the 1981 Joe Montana PSA 8 Card & it’s been getting about $300/Card. PSA 10’s are insane. What’s your advice on that card? |

The only scam artist I’ve run into on eBay was a seller who only had a (1 ) for positive. I should have known the deal was too good. I sent my money by PayPal & he cashed it & I waited a couple of weeks & nothing. I contacted him & he said he was new at eBay.... “I had my bid time out a week ago and sent the card to the bidder at that time. I may not have closed it out. I figured when the auction timed out and I printed the shipping label that it was done. I just tracked the card ad was delivered in Florida on the 4th. I tried to find a way to call e-bay and it is impossible. I am going to look at my pay pal now. I can refund you if you paid me. I will be back & I just looked and I have no idea why the card was still up. I apologize but the card was paid for on 6/1 and the label was printed that day and shipped to a guy in Florida who paid $58.08 for the card. Your payment is still on hold in paypal. Please delete it as it is on hold this card has been shipped and paid for by the time your bid hit and you put the paypal hold on it.” Cocknbull story to me. |

I have a lot of high-end A Rod cards that were worth a ton back in the day. Refractors, one of ten type cards- and now are worth pennies on the dollar.
I would have been able to buy a nice house for the money if he would have not been a cheater. |

Uhh....you might want to do some checking. A-rod stuff has started to take off...especially the 1994 SP Authentic.

I’d like to buy some CEH rookie cards. (Autographed if possible) if any of you have a credible source.

Look for raw, the graded ceh stuff is really high. Or join breaks in with some card breakers. There are plenty out there Platinum Card Breaks usually has plenty of great high end breaks and usually livestream till early in the morning. Rich with Layton Sportcards is always first class. I have both bought from him, and he has bought from me for his own breaks he puts together. Jaspys Case Breaks is okay. Truthfully, so many out there. That you have tons of options to choose from if case breaking is something you would be interested in. |

Usually modern cards that are issued as signed are legit. I can think of a couple instances where the player did some sneaky stuff like having someone else sign for them, but that's definitely not the norm. I would simply say what comes from the company as signed, is legit. Then the psa/jsa/etc auth'ed signatures are a close second. The stuff with the homemade certs are like browsing the internet with no antivirus. You might come away clean, but there's a good chance you'll get burnt. |

That is about as quick of rundown I can give on what a case break is. There are other types of breaks but those are the main types of breaks you will run across. Watch a few breaks on youtube to give yourself a idea. Here is a older break from a couple years ago with a great Mahomes RC pull. How do you tell if a card is legit off of ebay? It can come down to many factors. Putting it easily as possible. Thinking back to when you were a kid before they put autographs in packs and you had a card signed by a player at a card show, or game. Modern hand signed cards without a maker guarantee on the back. Those are the type of cards to stay the hell away from. A card made today will be guaranteed by the maker. On the back of a hand signed Panini card will say, This autograph is guaranteed by Panini. The sticker autos will say the same but have a hologram in the sticker. On a hand signed Topps it will say on the back, You recieved a Topps Certified autograph from whatever product it may it be from. Topps Sticker autos will have hologram as well in the sticker. Each maker Panini, Topps/Bowman, Leaf, Upper Deck have there own modern day authenticating markers on their cards. |
