I will say this, for a team that struggled in the red zone (even in the playoffs/SB), Mitchell would be a huge boost there. He's a TD machine.

But...how?

This team just doesn't throw the normal back shoulder stuff like some teams.

It’s not about throwing just jump balls and fade routes.

Bigger receivers with body control can win if the QB just throws it to the right spot or shoulder.

Mahomes can make those throws.

The Chiefs with mahomes don't do those things.

Focus on guys that get open.

We don’t do them because we don’t have a Michael Pittman or a Tee Higgins.

If you think Mahomes wouldn’t do well with a Evans WR you’re nuts.

Well I'm assuming if they actually drafted him that they would play to his strengths.

They've had opportunities to draft and or bring in guys that would succeed the way he does and they haven't typically looked for that.

Just doesn't seem to be a preference.

He is still immature and needs to add weight but his skill set compares favorably to Tee Higgins.

He would immediately help even as a decoy 1 or vertical 2 in our offense.

Add in a deep threat like Hollywood and good luck.

We had the best separation WR in NFL history and we traded him.

Just get good players and Mahomes will make it work.

I don't think anybody is against it, it's just hard to see them changing their preference.

Hopefully Mahomes works the WRs out again.

Rice has worked out well, we could use one more high end young talent.

I'm sure there will be a few rookie WRs at camp Mahomes this year, and Mitchell/Worthy are as good of a bet as anybody seeing as it's in Texas.

Those guys are also gonna occupy a similar place on the field as what Rice does. I don't foresee them going that route.
