Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

This is the exact shotgun I have - have never had any issues, it doesn't do much in the way of "accessories" but it does what it's supposed to do every time and allows for compact application in household/tight quarters. ($450)

But hey, if's it's cheap enough I might just do it.

Years ago I had a Stoeger Cougar (Beretta knockoff) in .45. Really didn't like it. At all. It's time in Frazod's Arsenal of Freedom was brief.

I might mount it with a plaque that says, "Yes, The Military Will Say This Is OK"

I'm sure. In my first LE gig I carried a 92FS (as I was military familiar and dumb about everything else). My coworkers used to walk up to me and flip the safety off, that I had left off previously. Eventually figured out that was a serious flaw in that weapon.

When I was looking for a small polymer carry gun a few years ago one of the ones I tried was a Beretta Storm compact. It had the nastiest, mushiest trigger I'd ever felt. Put it down after one pull.

Maybe they're better now, or perhaps I just handled a shitty one at the store. But damn that was nasty. When I'm thinking of buying a new gun, Berettas never cross my mind.

The fix was to go back to 1911s until the P226 became an option.

You know the saying, "You get what you pay for"? Well sometimes it's "You'll probably end up with what the Navy is willing to pay for, unless you have a creative Chop"..

Perhaps, but I don't need another friggin caliber of ammo to have to stockpile. I'm down to either .45 or 9mm, with the exception of the .40 I use as a nightstand gun. And I'd get rid of it if I hadn't sank as much into it as I paid for it initially in work/parts.

I need to get to the range, again. Last time I was at The Bullet Hole some jackass was in the bay next to me standing 4 feet behind the bay countertop rapid firing his .357, hitting the target holder @ 5 yards every other shot. Quickly packed up my shit and informed the staff and left.

You should have informed the staff and waited for them to kick his ass out.
