What Are You Spinning? Cont.

Rabble's thread has become extremely slow to load and post so I'm starting a new one while the other will be locked.

As rabble is no longer with us (cough), I have been authorized to post in his stead.

Perhaps we can add a full description of the video then post a direct link in an effort to forego the issues in the original thread.

Let's hear what your hearing.

Well, for awhile in the 80s, that was true...but Tattoo You is damn fine, especially "Slave" and side 2, plus the run from Voodoo Lounge through the present has been fantastic. VL, Bridges to Babylon, A Bigger Bang, and Blue & Lonesome are all top notch, plus the "Doom & Gloom" single, as well as the new/old Exile and Some Girls outtakes are all truly great. Looking forward to the Goat's Head Soup 4 LP set I preordered...

Tattoo You is near-great. If it had a ballsier blues number than Black Limousine it would tip. Forgot it came out after Emotional Rescue and not before. I haven't loved anything since those two, although Stripped is very good.

Belongs in the Win Thread in Pictures, but likely to get more looks here. Like his reverb choices, especially the echo-y acoustic early reminiscent of Legg.

Because Dirty Work and Steel Wheels were so limp, it turned a lot of people off, but Voodoo Lounge, A Bigger Bang, and Blue & Lonesome are all near-great, and Bridges to Babylon is extremely interesting if nothing else.

Hoping my 4LP Goat's Head Soup deluxe set shows up today...

Jesus Christ, this thing is an amazing soundtrack to math homework. The new mix is GREAT, the outtakes are PHENOMENAL...and the Brussels Affair is absolutely ESSENTIAL.

I'm watching live youtube videos of a band called Bones UK that someone told me I might like. They remind me a little of Eagles of Death Metal because many of their songs have a strong beat, heavy guitars and repetitive lyrics.

Right up my alley. That little bend in the main riff reminds me a bit of QOSTA too...

Great band. There's still a few good ones around, they're just not as easy to find as they used to be.
