What is the best restaurant in KC?

I'm not super picky about food type - I'm just looking at what restaurant would qualify to you as "the best" in Kansas City.

Give me some examples of food offered, atmosphere, price, etc.

I went to Slaps this past weekend and it was just okay. The burnt ends were very good. The brisket was average to below average. The sauces were below average. The mac & cheese was very good; the cole slaw was sub-par. It wasn't a place I'd go out of my way for to be brutally honest.

The uber driver said Jack Stack is way better, the #1 BBQ in town, and Joe's is overrated from being featured on a Guy Frieri TV show episode and also isn't anything special.

Jack Stack is good when it's on. I prefer Q39 and KC Joes but it's still good

Q39 is my "must have bbq" when I come into town. Never had anything there that I didn't love. I get the brisket and burnt ends and add a rib. Mouth watering.

The new executive chef of Q39 is British so expect the food standards to go downhill MASSIVELY. Disgusting food and even worse people!

I bet he cooks up some ****ing top quality baked beans though. That's just about all those limey pricks are good for food wise.

Gracie's Fish House

Specializes in high-end tuna. Some say it's a little bland and lifeless, but the plating is good enough to make your mouth water.
