I actually think their defense can be at least close to elite if they stay healthy, but of course they go way overboard. To them, adding a few decent players to their secondary and getting Von Miller back automatically vaults them from allowing 28 pts/game to the stingiest D in the world. Then you have Fangio... |

People like to make a big deal out of players sitting out, but for the elite players, the fines are negligible. It's obviously not a good look, but when Rodgers will likely make 40 times that or more this season, it's not like it's really a big concern for either side.

If Rodgers were to be traded after holding out of camp...how bad would that screw up the Broncos offensive system? They would be moving at least one offensive player (Jeudy/Fant?) and Rodgers would have zero practice time developing chemistry and learning the terminology/playbook. It's a pretty big deal to go from the #2 OL to #25...Denver has had their staring QB injured nearly every season going back to 2015. Not a great combination for a 38 year old QB... Packers having the 2nd best OL in the NFL played a big part in his MVP level season last year...that element would be gone. |
