No. No hes not. Gordon is better at every aspect. Salvy has had 1 season with a WAR over 4 and only 2 other seasons above 3. Lets not the past few years sway your view. Salvys never even had a full season of >.800 OPS production.

Salvy is one of my favorites, but to act like hes better than Alex is insane. Its not even close.

It'd be nice if Franchy Cordero could stay healthy. When he plays he looks good up there.

Now Mondesi hits a double. It's the 5th inning and he's a home run away from a cycle.

Bringing Duffy out of the pen. Gotta wonder if they're testing out him and Junis as full time relievers.

If we could just be mathematically eliminated at the start of every season we would win 120 games every year.

No kidding. If you watched this team right now you'd think they're on the brink of being decent. Whit, Mondesi, Salvy, Soler all legit offensive weapons. Nicky Lopez looks like a gold glover. Cordero shows flashes when he's healthy. Bobby Witt on the way. Then with the pitching staff Keller looks like a legit front of the rotation starter. Singer and Bubic both had really solid Septembers. Asa Lacy waiting in the wings. Then a bullpen that's been really good all year with guys like Staumont and Zimmer. I don't know if that's enough to take on the White Sox but it doesn't look like a 100 loss team at all.

So comparatively, this is similar to the Royals circa 2011-2012?

I don't know about that. That was one of the best farm systems of all time. But I'm curious to see what Dayton does this offseason.

Seeing Mondesi playing like a superstar is great. And the fact that Singer and Bubic were thrown in the deep end of the pool and survived looks good. Then Keller dropped his ERA to 2.47 tonight. There are still some question marks out there, especially in the OF spots and 1B/3B. Dozier can probably fill one of those spots but they're still missing a couple bats. But there are some talented guys in their mid-20s who are showing good things.

Royals are guaranteed to have a .500 or better record against the AL Central sans the White Sox. Take the White Sox out this year and they are a .500 team on the dot.
