All that time holding on to him as he rehabbed, only to DFA him on April 8th when he's finally ready. I'm assuming there is more to this story.

I believe he was just optioned, but it still sucks to see literally the only bullpen arm with any hope of a future with this team is already being sent down. Along with getting rid of Goodwin and giving playing time to Duda and Owings it's really hard to have faith that Moore and Yost know what they're doing.

But in all seriousness, how can anyone still defend DM? He needs to be gone, but he will never be fired since he won a championship. Why in the **** do you send Zimmer down? Maybe because DM has a hard time admiring he made a mistake with all the trash he signed for the bullpen. None of them are worth keeping, so just because he wanted to bring someone else up doesn't mean he had to send down the guy with the best stuff. I absolutely cannot stand Moore or Yost. They're just a couple of idiots that got lucky and won a WS.

The only reason I can think they would send him down is that they're trying to build him back up as a potential starter. What they saw of him (minus the four straight walks, smdh) was enough to convince them that he still has starter potential and they wanted to get him some reps in Omaha there along with building his stamina back up? Total spitball thought, but that's the best I can come up with.

Listening to Neds sound clip from today about Zimmer makes me furious. That ****ing idiot should be fired along with DM. Basically said Zimmer didn't earn any opportunities. I hate this organization so much. He had 3 appearances and went scoreless in 2 of those. There is literally no reason Zimmer should not be in the majors. The ****ing reeruns running this organization look more incompetent by the day.

He has no control on his off-speed pitches. What he’s doing isn’t sustainable and he’s getting sent down to find his command. It’s a perfectly fine move for the time being. I’ll bet you he’s back within a month, given that he finds his command and is able to throw his curve for strikes like he showed in spring training. Take a breath man.
