Donks not only gave up their 1st/2nd for the next two years...but gave up their 1st/2nd round picks (players) from the 2019 draft.

So Wilson essentially cost them 3 1sts and 3 2nds ...tight ship. THAT is how you build a last place team.

Bradley Chubb has averaged 5 sacks a season...after being the 5th overall pick. He is a UFA after this year...nice work.

Jerry Jeudy scored 0 TDs last year...after being the #1 WR taken. Knocking it out of the park...

It's really hard to believe that they have missed the post-season 6 straight years...

The Broncos were going nowhere fast in this division without a QB of Wilson's caliber.

DJ and Bucky Brooks added it up, and Denver essentially gave up the equivalent of the #1 overall pick for Russ. I'd rather have Russell Wilson than Aidan Hutchinson, Evan Neal, or Ickey Ekwonu. You would too if you were in Denver's situation.

That’s because he’s new. I remember when Trubisky sold alot of jerseys too

Over the last two years, Brady and Mahomes are the top two jersey sellers

Wilson couldn't really do anything on a team with average coaching and poor drafting. The NFC West had mediocre QB play for the duration on his career in Seattle too.

His past 3 post-wins were against Detroit, Bridgewater and Josh McCown.

He essentially just joined a similar team with the same issue...except with coaching/ownership instability..in a division with two of the best QBs in the NFL.

Expecting a different result is just off-season dreaming...Wilson is a 9 win a year QB who got lucky (in his first few years) with a generational defense.

He is what he is at 33 years old...living off reputation of early success.

His second SB appearance was a fluke...on a once in a decade onside kick gaffe.

Russell Wilson reached 100 wins faster than any QB in NFL history.

He has only won fewer than 10 games in a season twice in 10 years. The Seahawks went 9-7 in 2017 and 7-10 in 2021 (Wilson missed 3 games and played two games with a torn ligament in his throwing hand in 2021).

The NFCW had a few down years, but for the most part it has consistently been one of the toughest divisions in football. The 49ers, Rams, and Seahawks have all been to multiple Super Bowls during Russ' career and the Cardinals went to the NFCCG once.

I'm not sure that I am fully tracking that flow, but ok. The things that have sunk the Broncos are largely decisions that Elway made as GM. As we've seen in the last two years, the guy is no longer calling those shots and that's a positive. The former QBs are gone, new offensive focused coaching staff and a QB that has proven himself. We can break down all the things about Wilson and what he brings a thousand different ways.

Denver did what teams do when they've made bad decisions for a half decade. They traded picks for a QB that by all accounts can improve things and they despite Blacktop's best efforts, they did not mortgage the future to make it happen.

Blacktop and others paint this picture that Russell Wilson is worse than Fitzpatrick and if you calculate the real picks in the trade with a grouping of other picks in recent drafts, then in total the Broncos have given up 17 picks and players for the rights to get Wilson. It's crazy logic, but it's part of what makes him so adorable.

This is one of my favorite jabs as well... it was fun throwing it out there to Chiefs' fans for a while. I've really had fun with the Cowboys version of this one and that's been going on for a long time.

There where thousands of people that lived and died waiting for the Chiefs to win a playoff game from 93 to 2016 and from 71 to 93. Holy shit. Super Bowl wins...President Nixon to Trump. Until 2020...the Last Chiefs Super Bowl was almost older than the Big Mac from McDonalds.

Still living in the past.

Since Mahomes was drafted, KC has more playoff wins than any other team in the NFL

The Broncos have faced Mahomes more than any other team and hilariously still haven’t beaten him yet. 0-9.
