*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

He reminds me quite a bit of Emmanuel Sanders.

Peter King was in the Cowboys war room and said the Chiefs were calling to try to trade down and Lynch was still on the board at the time.

At the NFL level McConkey is likely a chain mover, a guy that creates separation in his routes and is a consistent performer, that does have a lot of value.
Right just not first round value.

Boy that's not really something I agree with, if he's gonna catch 85 balls for 1000 yards with 6-8 TD's that's more than worth 32.

Ladd is probably worth the 32 pick, the issue is I think you can get a guy in the 2nd where we pick who can do that too.

They met with Legette and he’s been mocked in the first rd at best and one of the first few picks of the 2nd rd at worst.

If we stay at 32 I could easily see him being the pick

Which is why I think they’d take Legette. Has a really high ceiling if you can unlock it. With Mahomes and Andy that’s a good bet

I wouldn't be shocked, but I doubt it.

Depends what type of player you want, if you are going for pure upside then yes I agree with that.

Very few of the WR's in this draft though come in with his polish. This is kind of an either or debate, I mean people don't realize McConkey's athletic scores are basically the same as Garrett Wilson's.
