Maybe our DL is a lot better than we thought

From last week:

Now this week I saw this screen shot with a little under 5 mins left in the game.

39 drop backs
2 sacks
3 QB hits
6 hurries

Updated after the game ESPN app shows we have EIGHT QB hits. Damn our pressure seems a lot better this year. It’s mainly bc Karlaftis and Dunlap are way better than what Frank and Okafor gave us last year, Frank has been better and Mike ****ing Danna has played real well. What a surprise that man has been for us.

Karlaftis flashes almost every time he's on the screen. Really hope he works into taking the majority of the snaps very soon.

Our defensive players may be good but our DC is not so much. How many yards do you give up to Williams before you figure out to double him?

My hats off to Herbert for playing through what has to be cracked ribs. However, I absolutely love that our defensive front beat the **** out of him. I hope they can sustain this type of physicality.

They shut him down in the second half. Our staff is usually pretty good at halftime adjustments.

We put a far worse beating on Herbert than the Charger put Mahomes.

Major props to Reid and Mahomes for helping to create and scheme protection against a great DL.

When they started playing Karlaftis over Clark more they went to another level. His burst commands attention which helps Chris Jones which helps the other linemen. He had to start starting soon.

We also had more yards per play than LA even though were out gained... on an off night. The pick 6 extra possesse ion and that extra final drive put them over.
