Broncos release All-Pro safety Justin Simmons

https://x.com/adamschefter/status/17...701998892?s=46

What a day! This MFer has been the biggest pain in Mahomes’ ass his whole career. Like 5 interceptions.

Denver is going to S-U-C-K. Sean getting ready to strip it down to the studs and do a full rebuild. Worst trade and contract ever to blame.

Cheers!

Is there some superstar draft eligible in 2025 they're tanking for? This makes no sense, otherwise.

I would trade Surtain. Could fetch 2 1’s. They haven’t had a first rd pick work out but him in the last 6 years.

They need picks. Badly. Time to start over

They have no other play. They literally cannot be competitive.

Like, 1/3 of their cap space is taken up by a player who isn't on their team. They're marching out a JV squad this season and if they don't draft well, they may go 0-17.

Better them than us. Yikes.

Now the hope is Simmons goes to an NFC team, because as Pugs said, Simmons has been a true pain in the ass for Mahomes so far.

Let's not talk crazy. Denver has one win against Mahomes in 6 years. They beat us one game in the last 16. That's not pain the ass when you have 3 rings and only lost once to them.

I love that Payton dodged the rebuild at the Saints and he's now having to do it anyway at the Broncos.

I'm sure he's thinking the same thing, no idea why he didn't just wait another year. Bad call, Sean.
