I will say that since we don't get the characters inner thoughts that this version of the story is a lot more subtle than the book. Except for Yabushige, that actor is really expressive and you almost don't need subtitles to get what he is saying and feeling.

I've been watching these on-demand, but which night of the week does it actually air?

edit* Never mind, I'll be there on wednesday nights from here on out... this is the kind of appointment tv cable subscribers have been badly needing since Yellowstones ugly demise

Didn't realize the whole series didn't get uploaded at once. I haven't watched since the third episode, but I may sit on it until it's all available. That's what I'm doing with Masters of the Air. Damn zoomer attention span...

Cable on-demand has 4 episodes up, so thats as far as it goes until wednesday night apparently

If they wanted to keep the same actors, they would probably adapt Gai-Jin next. Tai-pan and Noble House deal with Hong Kong. Whirlwind deals with Iran and King Rat would have mostly English and American actors.
