Yeah - this isn't a show that needs an Academy Award winning screenplay or anything, but boy - this is pretty rough.

It's doing that network television detective show shit where they are just WAY too omniscient in their guesswork. I hate that shit. "Well he has gin in his fridge {insert 7 degrees of nonsense}...HE'S HIDING IN A YURT IN ANTARCTICA!!!"

Too many massive stretch plot devices so far. It's dumb even by dumb entertainment standards. I hope it improves.

The books are full of cliches, and instead of doing like they did with Jack Ryan and only using the name, they are being pretty true to the Reacher books.

I'll take that every time over the writers deciding to go off the reservation.

This show is ****ing great. Not because it is well written, but because it isn't and they lean fully into just how bad it is. Which makes it awesome.

I laughed out loud when Robert Patrick said "Who gives a shit??" when he was asked who Sarah Connor was.

This show ain't Shakespeare in the Park, but it's like a big sloppy cheeseburger when you're starving and don't want to eat healthy.

This latest episode was as bad as a 70's cop show or the old westerns.

Spoiler!

Biggest complaint I have is that Reacher has 'God Mode' turned on. He's never wrong. He's never injured.

Everybody saying "Hey, Swan's dirty" and Reacher won't admit it. So you KNOW he isn't. It's just a matter of giving us the 'twist' that proves that Reacher was right all along.

I don't mind a damn competent protagonist but the problem with Reacher's infallibility is that it becomes a Chekov's Gun of sorts. His unwavering belief in Swan gives the story away because you know he's going to be proven right in the end.

I agree. It happens way too often. Too many of the people who make these things think 'if a little bit does a little good then a lot of it has to do a lot of good' and it sucks.

I'll watch the rest of this season but I doubt I'll invest much time in any more of it.

Have to agree with both of you. This season has been a complete let down and I loved the first season. It was great even if some of the things you guys mentioned happened a bit in that season as well. The first season just seemed to work. It is almost like the writers just dialed it in on this one.

I blame the writers strike.

Hopefully the next one is better.

And have I pointed out how hot Dixon is yet?

Neagley is packing some heat, as well

I still enjoy it for what it is, but yes, they need to put a little more effort into the writing. Unfortunately I think that's a symptom of many TV shows and movies these days. Writing talent seems to be lacking.

The fact that Amazon refuses to give me a little gratuitous nudity with Dixon just makes me angry.

My word she's good lookin'

And there isn't a look she couldn't pull off. You want upscale professional? Done. Insecure secretary - she'll rock a 9.5 there. Slutty nurse/stripper - she'd kill it.

Total package of hot.
