I don’t see Steele getting a lot of work. Realistically this is probably a 2 headed attack.

I doubt we average 20 rushes per game this year.

Andy has not, will not, and should not go with a power running game plan. He's got Patrick Mahomes. Also I want no part of a "3 headed rushing backfield". I want Pacheco to be the RB on most drives, Steele should get a couple of drives to give him a breather, and Perine can have a few 3rd down plays. Snap distribution should be like this
Pacheco gets 65%-75% Steele gets 20%-25% Perine gets 5%-10% Pacheco needs the bulk, because he eventually breaks a long one and I think he does better when he gets a feel for things. |

Last year we had 417 rushes, but that is kind of artificially enhanced. Patrick Mahomes had 75 of those and I think 99% of those were passing plays that he had to bail on. We probably only called around 350 run plays.

We don't play Martyball anymore, because we don't have to.
We have a QB that can win us games now. |

Yeah I think Pacheco gets between 1500-1700 total yards if he plays 16/17 games. Last year he had about 15 rushes and 3 receptions a game. Rushing he had 205 rushes, 935 yards, and 4.6 yards per carry and for receiving he had 50 targets, 44 receptions, 244 receiving yards, and only 5.5 yards per reception. He only played in 14 games, so if you take his numbers and average them over 17 games you get.
1173 rushing yards + 290 receiving yards = 1463 total yards Bump up his yards per catch to 7 and that puts him at 1542 total yards. I think he has a damn good year this year. |

Pacheco worked out in the offseason with his trainer as a WR, according to Schrager.
He and Perine are going to murder on screens this year. |

Carson Steele is likely just going to get mop up carries.
