I am a diehard Mizzou fan. And I hate the SMSU Bears almost as much as the Gheyhawks. I grew up in southwest MO and got sick of hearing about the damned Bears and the Lady Bears. I've seen Chiefs games get overridden for a stupid Lady Bears game. I have missed plenty of MU games because the local stations would rather play the second rate local team. And yes, I know that it's MSU now. I don't care. They're still a second rate regional team whatever you call them.

Just grew up on Phillips 66 Saturday Big 8 basketball and Missouri just seemed like the team that a Missouri kid should root for. Plus Norm had some fun teams against some classic opponents during those years.
I don’t share the hatred of Missouri State that some MU fans have. Grew up an hour away, every game was on KY3 as a kid so they were the easiest team for me to follow closely. When they play, I root for MU but I enjoyed the Sweet Sixteen team and that era. Plus I’m am interested in seeing what Petrino does there. |

FSU fan since 1966. National Champions 1993 (Charlie Ward) 1999 (Chris Weinke) and 2013 (Jameis Winston)
Burt Reynolds and Jim Morrison are both alum. Burt played for the football team, here's Jim checking his mail for his acceptance letter. |

Chaos, because the entire structure and format upon which college football is built upon is complete dogshit.

The University of Kansas. All my kids and most of my money went there. So far, all my grandkids and just some of my money. The rest of them will go there when old enough to get the last of my cash. Other than that, an alum's interest in Washburn University.

I'm weird. My dad worked as a professor at Mizzou when I was born, until we moved to OK when I was 6. So I began life as a Tigers fan, but by the time I was in HS I wa a Sooner. Still root for both teams.

I mostly root for K-state football and KU Basketball but I'm thrilled if ever KU beats K-state in football.
I do have several college teams I like it's not the same for me as NFL i root for the players and hope Chiefs get the best of the lot. |

In the 80's I loved spoonball. I spent many dates in Hammons Center at the start of of a 32 year relationship with the love of my life, Was writing at the time and got to interview spoonhower and sit courtside. Wife graduated from there. Born and raised in Springfield. But, it's always been KU basketball for me. Never followed KU football.
