Chiefs Alternate History Madden Franchise: Can Joe Montana take KC back to the SB?

Return of Mals: Joe Montana Edition

Downloaded a 1993 NFL Roster updated for Madden 17 last night.

All teams and players are edited to reflect their 1993 counterparts. Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Warren Moon and JOE MONTANA are all on this roster along with every other starter AND backup from 1993. This roster is so accurate it has Andre Ware on the Lions. Titans serve as the Oilers, Texans and Jags are full of generic assholes.

Chiefs have Joe, Marcus, DT, Smith, Carter, etc. Whoever did this is a genious and even got the player equipment right. Faces are computer-generated and coaches are wrong, but can't have everything.

The goal: get the Chiefs back in the SB with Montana at starting QB. Franchise will run until Joe retires. Not allowed to switch QBs.

LET'S DO THIS!

37, and dude like 13 of those points were allowed in garbage time on short fields.

Give it time, brand new team and playbook.

You will all eat your words, let's not forget the Legend of Mals.

This is an OL and WR problem. Not a Clay problem.
Nah, Easy. He's not just Alex.

He's Alex, Andy and Tigeruppercut. Late throws, inexplicable roll-outs, forgetting about the running game and 'BUT THE WR'S KEEP DROPPING BALLS!!!!!'

Clayxcuses.

LOL. Toasty and crispy. Sadly it didn't take me any time at all to know exactly who you were referring to.

I need the challenge though. Took me 2 seasons in my All-Madden franchise to get to the point where I'm beating teams 56-3 most games.

The Saints are next.

They are ****ing terrible. Wade Wilson is hurt and Mike Buck is starting.

All I have to worry about is Rickey Jackson and Renaldo Turnbull at LB. Time to ugly this one up.

More Clayxcuses.

The defense held the Saints to under 300 yards of total offense and a mere 12 first downs. They can only be asked to do so much when their QB is ignoring the drop zone and throwing high risk, zero reward swing passes to his RBs and/or throwing to the guy crossing into the middle zone instead of the guy running a mirrored route out of said zone.

"BUT MY LIIIIIIIINE!!!!" Sure thing; just keep watching the rush and blaming your teammates instead of staying tall in the pocket and taking the hit to deliver the strike. Or hell, when you have man coverage on the outside vs. an out route, try throwing the ball as your WR is making his break so that you can throw him open.

Or just stand there and get sack/stripped so you can blame a future HoFer for your inability run an offense.

****ing Clark needs a new coach and a new triggerman because this duo ain't winning shit.

No excuses. I played like dog shit. I'm just not used to the new playbook and it's ****ing with me. Though the lack of a running game doesn't help...

It would have been nice if the defense had gotten a stop after I made it 21-10, though. I had found something that worked on offense.

I think I got the next one. SURELY I can beat Jack Trudeau and a terrible Colts team.

I dont think Allen is getting enough carries, just like down at the goal line after the DT fumble return... 1 chance for Marcus Allen?

No no no... you give him at least 2, and maybe even all 3 chances down that close
