Let's talk about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Super Bowl Edition)

Second straight Super Bowl win incoming.

Time to send old man Brady out to pasture.

The Bucs just represent another team and fan base that with no prior reason or history will hate the Chiefs after we beat them by the coveted two scores in the Super Bowl. We have really been collecting those the last two years.

Oh shit, I just remembered that Chiefs legend LeSean McCoy will be on the opposite sideline for this game.

Colin Cowherd already hinting at who he's gonna pick "bucs strength is their d-line and chiefs have two missing linemen..this could be like giants pats 07" ..er big difference is our qb is not a statue like Brady and despite getting five sacks Green Bay still diced up that weak secondary for three td's and missed two chances in the redzone too.

None of that is going to happen this year and with so few tickets available I have no doubt they’ll go for super crazy prices. And then there’s the Covid mess to contend with...

We're going to be hearing a lot of that these next couple weeks. And nobody should be upset about it at all.

It's the media's job to sell this game. On paper, this is a laugher. The Chiefs are a MUCH better team. As I said earlier ITT, Tampa Bay's ONLY path to victory is for their D-Line to manhandle us up front so badly that it completely blows up our offensive gameplan.

It's a miniscule possibility and it's quite literally the only way Tampa Bay has a chance in this game. So of course the media is going to run with that narrative. They have to find a reason that this game can be close so they can pump it up as a great matchup.

Otherwise it will be two weeks of (factual) Chiefs are the best team and this is going to be a blowout. Which is boring and doesn't sell.

So when you hear this stuff in the media over the next 12 days, don't be upset. It's highly likely these talking heads don't believe it themselves. They're just trying to do their job and find a way to sell a game that frankly isn't all that much of one.

People are going to talk themselves into picking the Bucs just like they did the Browns and the Bills.

It's boring to say KC wins every game. Last SB all we heard about is the SF defense.

Hell remember last season when Derrick Henry was gonna run all over us

This is going to be a lop sided game. arians is stating their key is to get pressure on the QB. Well, go ahead and blitz and drive that QB rating right on up to 140ish.

Mahomes has never had a "Bad" game and he won't this time either. On the other hand Brady throwing ducks is going to be fun watching Sneed, Thornhill and Honey Badger running under them.

Tampa has really feasted off mistakes I find that is unsustainable for 3 straight games. Still think back to how Heiniken looked against that Defense. Pat with 2 weeks rest should be able do similar.

Only thing that worries me is Brady mystique/legend

There isn't an intimidation factor because the Chiefs have experienced Super Bowl pressure and point deficit to comeback and win.

Does anyone really think the Bucs have a hope in hell of winning this? They're average at best. They can't compete with us on any level. The old man threw three picks Sunday.

This will be easier than Buffalo. Biggest beatdown since Raiders/Bucs

In fairness that SF defense was every bit as good as people made it out to be before the game. They were doing as well against our offense as any team has been able to do.

But then, of course, Mahomes.

I am so much less worried about this Bucs team than I was the 49ers. That team last year scared me given their front four, ability to defend the deep pass, and lots of creative looks on offense that I figured would give our LBers fits.

Evans and Godwin (and Brown) are great receivers, but I really think our DBs match up well with them. They don't run the ball particularly well, and their secondary is vulnerable.

I trust that Reid will find enough ways to compensate for an OL that's going to be more porous than usual. And I think that's the biggest question mark in this entire game.

Chiefs have more playoff/Super bowl experience than Tampa as a whole. Obviously Brady is the outlier but that roster hasn’t ever been to a SB before
