Ah, I see you added . Yes, I think that's high, hopefully. The lower end seems more realistic.

No, you added this part:

This is basically saying 78,000 more people need to die in the next 2 months but we will be below 10 per day by June.

Anyway, where do you think we'll end up? Cases and deaths.

(WXYZ) — A leaked memo from Henry Ford Health System being shared around social media is not an active policy, and is a "worst case scenario," according to a hospital spokesperson.

The policy is says in part, "Patients who have the best chance of getting better are our first priority. Patients will be evaluated for the best plan of care and dying patients will be provided comfort care."
It is addressed to patients, families and the community, and is part of the hospital's emergency response planning, which is standard with other health systems.

“With a pandemic of this nature, health systems must be prepared for a worst case scenario. Gathering the collective wisdom from across our industry, we carefully crafted our policy to provide critical guidance to healthcare workers for making difficult patient care decisions during an unprecedented emergency, Dr. Adnan Munkarah, EVP and chief clinical officer, said. "These guidelines are deeply patient focused, intended to be honoring to patients and families. We were pleased to share our policy with our colleagues across Michigan to help others develop similar,

compassionate approaches. It is our hope we never have to apply them and we will always do everything we can to care for our patients, utilizing every resource we have to make that happen."
According to the memo, if someone comes in and needs to be in the ICU or on ventilation, "you will be assessed for eligibility based on on your specific condition."

Other portions of the memo include that patients who are treated with a ventilator may have them stopped if they don't improve over time, and that patients who are not eligible for ICU will receive treatment for pain control and comfort measures.

South Korea Warns of Deportation, Jail for Quarantine Violators

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/ar...tal-9-241-kcdc

Quote:
SEOUL (Reuters) - South Korea warned on Thursday that it will deport foreigners while its citizens could face jail if they violate self-quarantine rules after a surge in imported coronavirus cases.

South Korea has tightened entry rules for travellers from countries suffering big outbreaks, subjecting them to two weeks of mandatory quarantine but at least 11 people violated self-quarantine rules between March 13 and 24, the health ministry said. It did not specify their nationalities.

"We will apply zero-tolerance principles in taking action against those who leave their self-isolation venue without legitimate reasons," Yoon Tae-ho, director-general for public health policy at the health ministry, told a briefing.

"Foreign nationals will be forcibly repatriated and Korean citizens will be reported to police for due penalties and lose financial support provided for those who have faithfully implemented a 14-day quarantine."

South Koreans who violate the rules could be jailed for up to a year and fined 10 million won ($8,100).

South Korea reported 104 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, including 30 imported one, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said. That brought its total cases to 9,241, with a new death toll of 142, up from 126.

The number of infected travellers arriving in South Korea has grown more than five-fold to 284 over the past two weeks, the KCDC said.

S. Korea tested symptomatic, electronically monitored, tested contacts and monitored. If test came back positive they traced cell phone locations and tried to test all possible contacts. They did not test people generically. That type of surveillance requires a warrant in the US.

Something is not right with the tests or the administration of the tests. Hopefully very quickly they will get a blood test ready to start using.
When the test was rolled out I believe I read it was 90% accurate whereas the flu test is like 99.99%. One of the concerns from the expert in the article I read was that the drive thru testing could actually be counterproductive because the test was not rock solid and the environment of administrating the test through a drive thru would make it even worse.
