Off Season Lets Talk Guns, Part 2

Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.

Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon?

Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware?

Brother-in-Law got the non-XL version. Helped him get his grip correct and get him on paper.

Good little gun. As far as guns that small go, it was very controllable. Didn't have that nasty snap that a lot of CC guns that size have.

Latest gun show in Wichita had one for $485. If I wasn't drooling over all the CZ75s and Sig M17/18s, I might have pulled the trigger.

I paid just over $600 for it at the local gun shop (with a small military discount), which was comparable to what I saw online. Quality piece with night sights. I'm fine with it.

Just pick up a Walther PPS Mod 2 NS.

Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but the feel of the pistol is superb although 7 or 8 round magazines to extend the grip are a must unless you have small hands. It comes with one 6 round mag and one 7 round mag so it's a extra cost but necessary in most cases.

Did quiet a bit of research on it and everything was glowing. Also, supposed to be amazing accurate for a 3.2" barrel and it's width is only 1". If all things go as expected this will be replacing my Springfield as carry of choice.

Just under $400

Have had my eyes on a Springfield XD 9 mm for a minute. We went to the shooting range in az and rented it for about an hour. Loved it.

Very good firearms. I'm surprised they ride under the radar as much as they do.

Going to Orlando in March, saw the hotel was next to a machine gun America? Anyone ever been there? They got some cool firearms to rent. Seems like fun.

Been carrying this around for a little bit, and pumped a ton of rounds through it.

Unfortunately I don't have that kind of cash to drop on a large frame - but for what it's worth, I don't use anything BUT Wilson combat mags in my Springfield 1911...

Best mags on earth (imo).

The P365 reminds me a great deal like the Sigs that we carried in Germany back in the 70s..

Took it to the range the day after I bought it and I was putting 1-2 inch groupings at 25 and 35 yards. You simply cannot ask anymore out of a EDC.

I can barely do that with large frames......

If WW2 guns are your thing, you'd have liked this gun show.

Garands, Springfields, Broomhandles, Lugers, old-style 1911s, Carbines, the Nazi version of the Browning Hi-power, even a Nambu pistol.

Thanks! I've always wanted to get my hands on a Broomhandle....

I'm not too impressed with the night sights on my Walther PPS M2 and looking to upgrade to a set that would produce more contrast.

Been looking at the TRUGLO TG13WA4PC TFX Pro Tritium/Fiber Handgun Sights. Anyone have any experience with these puppies?
