*****2024 NFL DRAFT THREAD - NO SPOILERS*****

Version 2024 - PATRICK MAHOMES & THE HUNT FOR THE THREEPEAT

Let's ****ing do this.

Quote:
Rules for once the draft begins:
  1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's So and So to Green Bay) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").
  2. Don't be a dick.
Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny. I'll also be starting player threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. These separate threads will be made as soon as the news breaks, outside of this thread. I will link the threads below. Pure knee-jerk gold to reference in the future.

Here are our picks:

Round 1, #28: Xavier Worthy
Round 2, #63: Kingsley Suamataia
Round 4, #131: Jared Wiley
Round 4, #133: Jaden Hicks
Round 5, #159: Hunter Nourzad
Round 6, #211: Kamal Hadden
Round 7, #248: C.J. Hanson

Here is a list of the prospects the Chiefs have shown interest in this year.

Have no idea what the Falcons are doing. Was excited that Drake London and Pitts were finally getting a real QB then they pull this shit.

Ok, so you want a QB to learn under Cousins, ala Smith & Mahomes. Ok. I get that.

But why draft the thrice injured, 30 year old? I know he isn't 30, but could be before he starts a game.

Maybe the doctors said Cousins, even though he is going through rehab, may be at risk for further injury, or another injury on the other side.

Like, drafting the old dude doesn't make sense.

I don't know what you think, but the Niners taking Ricky Pearsall at 31 is the worst first round pick this year, and the worst in a while.

I feel like Pearsall and Roman Wilson are so overhyped.

The Niners could have added a weapon like Mitchell, but instead drafted a mid to late second round pick at 31.

When I watch Pearsall, I see Justin Watson. Other than basically The Catch, his highlights look like a star division 3 receiver putting together a video package, hoping to get a camp invite. Nothing stands out.

Roman Wilson reminds me of Albert Wilson. He isn't a scrub, but he benefited from the Michigan offensive scheme more than McCarthy did.

There are still 7-8 receivers better than Pearsall still on the board.

However, this is the GM that traded up for Trey Lance in the top 5.

If the Doctors said that about Cousins, then why give him so much guaranteed?

None of this makes sense for Atlanta.

Penix needs to be a star.
