Offensively the Cardinals are Bob Uecker, a .200 career hitter in the majors. But that isn’t a fair comparison because Uecker is 90 years old and he’s calling Brewers games from upstairs in his radio booth at American Family Field. That said, the beloved “Mr. Baseball” couldn’t hit any worse than Dylan Carlson.

The DWIII interview is incredibly tone deaf. Of all the PR training those in professional sports gets, it's just plain arrogant. It's going to get even worse if he is the heir apparent to the franchise.

I live in Chicago and even Cubs fans feel sorry for us. It's that bad, folks.

I caught a couple of clips from the interview. Tone deaf is right. It's like he said "let them eat cake".

LOL....he's really ****ing stupid trying to poor mouth on one hand and then saying "If you don't come to games we can't spend on payroll!" Like it was just spending that got us here.

Also..how many years in a row are they going to run out the same "This team should be better" line and expect us to believe it's all because the players aren't performing and not because of shitty management and personnel decisions. It would be ****ing great if they could maybe develop a few players and not trade away all of their future all stars.

Been saying this for awhile now - DeWitt III is WORSE than DeWitt II. Dewitt II doesn't care anymore - DeWitt III is openly antagonistic. Jr is indifferent to the fans irritation - DeWitt III is appalled by it.

He'll be as derelict as Jr but with a side if preening shitweasel thrown in to boot.

The team needs to be sold. The Cincinnati Carpetbagger Dewitt family isn't the answer to any questions worth asking.

Don't forget that they sold the parking structures that came with the franchise for about 3/4 of their purchase price.

They bought the Cardinals for less than $50 million. It would probably sell for 2-3 billion now. After decades of $50 million+ operating profits.

But remember "Baseball isn't really all that profitable..."

These guys are the ****ing worst.

It's the inverse of the argument I used to have with the Fire Jocketty and LaRussa! crowd.

Guys - they can't ALL suck. Every aspect of the organization can't be bad when this team is orders of magnitude better than what they took over and is routinely among the 3-5 most successful franchises in the sport for a decade or so...

This is the opposite. This franchise is in far worse shape than it was in 2010 when Mozeliak lost Luhnow and the braindrain started. And it's getting worse every year. You can't have good leadership, scouting and development if you just keep playing bad baseball. Especially when it's not part of a concerted path forward but rather a simple circling of the drain.

These guys suck at their jobs. There's really no arguing it. A simple sniff test tells you anything you need to know.

The team is stuck in no man's land because Mo isn't going to want to admit another failure and fire Oli & Dewitt doesn't want to have to fire Mo. But if they fire Oli DeWitt kind of has to fire Mo rather than let him hire his 4th manager in 6 seasons right?

Maybe they sacrifice Girsch which will do no good whatsoever, nobody believes he is running the team.

What a cluster****.

The part about that that really burns my ass is that Mo made a great hire and then fired him after making the playoffs because he publicly said what Mo was denying. All ego
