So what's his actual path to playing time this year? I mean, he's gonna have to beat out the lower level guys for sure, but to get legit targets we're looking at getting up there with Hardman and Scantling. I'm not sure I see that.

So he's gotta beat out two guys who have been around for awhile with all-world QBs and never come close to having a 1,000 yard season. Doesn't seem like too big of a mountain to climb if he is a good player.

Not just beat them out though, he's gotta be that much better than them to get a chance as an UDFA. I mean, he's gonna have to have an unreal camp to get into the top 4 options.

I'd imagine a more likely scenario is one of those late camp "injuries".

He’s gonna have to show the foot is fine and, yea, have a good camp but I believe he’s in the right place to develop into legit NFL WR. His potential won’t be lost on this front office.

Well injuries always happen. Also, just simply rotating guys like they always do. Plus some specific packages. He's not gonna get a ton of targets as a rookie, more than likely barring injuries.

I think he’s already impressing the team a lot more than any other rookie. When your QB and TE are praising your work on Twitter that says a lot. I think it’s a foregone conclusion he makes the team.

And he should. He’s extremely talented but fell into injuries. And he’s providing that talent again.

I think he’ll be battling Skyy for the 4th receiver spot bc these old broken vets like Coleman and Gordon are just fodder.

I have been burned on these UDRFA guys before (Jamal Custis!) but Ross was a legitimate 1st rd talent. He was amazing as a Freshman and Sophomore. I think this could be a huge steal for us

I think Hardman could have a pretty big year. He’s been under utilized because of Hill. He can do a lot of the same things.

I think Andy and Co are about as good as any team at not caring about draft status etc, but Moore is gonna get every opportunity being where he was picked etc.

The thing Ross will have against him too is that those 5th and 6th Wr's usually play special teams. Now, he's an UDFA so thems the breaks sometimes and you gotta make bones somehwere first (Albert Wilson did) usually on special teams.

I'm hopeful for the guy, but it's always just such a damn long shot.

Seems like a candidate to be an IR stash for the season and may not see the light of day until next year.

He’s under utilized because Mahomes doesn’t seem to fully trust him. He should win against #2 or #3 CBs, and he doesn’t always do that. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think he will dominate against #1 CBs. He is a great gimmick and gadget player. I hope I am wrong and he truly steps up this year and becomes the WR the Chiefs hoped he would be when they drafted him.

Yep I think it is up hill battle if he can not handle special teams or not great there. Though I can also see, where 28 teams did not clear him physically that he has a great chance to be easily stashed on the practice squad for the year. The 3 other teams looking to grab him presumably would have the same problem of keeping a rookie wr who is not a special team options..
