Until you figure out how to beat Mahomes (Denver 0-7 against him), nothing else you do matters. You can have the greatest team in the history of football (and you don’t, by the way) and it still won’t matter. If you can’t beat Mahomes, you can’t beat the Chiefs. Can’t beat the Chiefs, can’t win the division. Can’t win the division, not going anywhere significant. Maybe you can make it as a Wildcard someday, but you’re not rolling though the playoffs to the Super Bowl with the garbage you’ve been trotting out there at QB since Manning retired.

So to recap:

1. Can’t beat Mahomes and Chiefs.

2. Can’t find franchise quarterback.

3. Literally, nothing else matters.

JFC. 2015 Denver was 4th in points allowed, so not even the best of that season let alone one of the all time greats.


By SRS (points better than avg), here were the top 5 defenses that year:
