Denver hasn’t found a Franchise QB in the draft ever.

It takes very motivated reasoning to look at that situation and say that Elway was particularly stupid in that situation.
Elway preferred Lynch to moving up for Mahomes. THAT is a fact.

Leaving aside that they weren't in the same draft, essentially the entire NFL shared Elway's view.

By that logic the Chiefs didn't find Mahomes, because they traded for the pick.

Not quite. The Colts wanted Elway, but Elway was an arrogant prick and didn’t want to play for them. They had to get rid of him and the Broncos were successful in getting him. Most people thought KC made a mistake not taking Watson after the trade with Buffalo.

Nah, it just shows how dumb those teams were. Especially Elway picking Bolles.

Now, that's solid!

Not to change the subject, but wtf is this thread doing on a Chiefs board? Is it just for us to make fun of Horseface and his merry band of ****tards? If so, that's a good enough reason to keep it.

I actually agree with you regarding the circumstance of the Broncos not moving up for Mahomes.

Given the state of the franchise during that draft, someone still held out hope that Lynch would put the pieces together...

All that said, if you think John Elway is anything more than a failure as a gm that lucked into Manning and his ability to recruit players (Manning, not Elway) you're in for a harsh reality...
