Then I would have punted on the season.

Hire Jim Caldwell. Or some other dusty warhorse who won’t ruin your new QB. If it goes great, you transition and promote from within the staff. If it doesn’t, you start fresh with the best offensive coach you can get

Have a hard time buying that one of them couldn't be talked into it with a big enough offer. Even if that's the case, you take a chance on somebody, ANYBODY else that has an offensive background. There are plenty of young offensive coordinators out there.

Dan Quinn is just settling for mediocrity. Might as well have kept Ron.

They went cheap. Wouldn't open up the pocket book for McDonald, Slovick, or McDonald. And because of bullshit prima-dona politics (Titans and Redskins GM's came from Sanfran) they ignored Vrabel. They also couldn't announce any coaches next week (SB Week) so they had no choice but to hire another Ron Riveria. Should have probably just re-opened the coaching search after the SB because all of their candidates were abominations (they interviewed Detroit Lions defensive coordinator and Eric Bienemy).

Dallas dodged a bullet, now they can go get Vrabel to run their defense before someone else snatches him.

Either that or Baltimore, some team needs to say to him now that all the HC jobs are taken come motivate our defense.

I doubt Vrabel is interested in a DC job, and I'm not sure he'd get hired if he was. He's more of a culture coach, he really only ran a defense that one year in Houston. And even then they still had Romeo Crennel (who was DC before him and again after he left) on staff.

What the heck is Bienemy doing in these interviews? Does he come in and start clipping his toenails or something?

Washington’s President as well as their GM are black. And still they didn’t want EB. Not sure how the race card could be pulled here.
