I feel that "Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton" is a must own album. But man, I just love Peter Green so much and I actually prefer "A Hard Road". What a run of guitarists Mayall had: Clapton - Green - Mick Taylor. Yowza! |

The great Albert Lee.
Jeremy Spencer covering the great Elmore James who was a huge influense on Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. Jeff Beck, another one of those hidden gems. Headphones a must. Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 05-01-2020 at 12:33 PM.. |

Gotta give Mayall/Green props for covering this classic.
Speaking of covers... Here is the great JoAnn Kelly the Queen of them British blues covering Skip James incredible "Hard Time Killing Floor" Alvin Lee covering the above mentioned Sonny Boy Williamson**** **** his name was Rice Miller and he was a trip, he actually stold "Sonny Boy Williamson" from an earlier harmonica legend John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson. He got away with it because he was also great. Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 05-01-2020 at 12:57 PM.. |

Skip James
Part of my enjoyment of music is finding out where it all came from, the origins, the who influensed who. Next time you hear Led Zeppelin's "Levee Breaks"..... Last edited by Ubeja Vontell; 05-01-2020 at 01:23 PM.. |

Love Jenny. I remember thinking "Why haven't I heard this before?" when I first heard it. That Savoy Brown "video" is something. |

Yeah, influences. I think this song stole from Willie Dixon and then was stolen from for Whole Lotta Love.
I really like some of the Small Faces sound. They have a song Rene from the Ogden's album that has a killer sound and is one of the more fun prostitute tunes out there. |
