*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Good stuff.
That was amazing! Thanks for the tip. I loved pre-Denver Peyton Manning, so this brought me back around again.

Man, I hated this MFer when he was playing. I used to get so sick of announcers acting like Manning invented watching film. Hell, at one point it felt like announcers were contractually obligated to mention how much film he watched at least twice per game.

But, now that he is retired, along with the fact that we once wrecked his shit so badly that he got benched (for Brock Osweiler) and the fact that we have won a SB and are playing in another, I can enjoy his sense of humor, and his film breakdowns. He is also in one of my favorite SNL skits/digital short.

Pele, Messi, Jordan and Mahomes are the 4 most electric players of any sport from jump street I think in the history of ALL sport.

Obviously, I don't have firsthand knowledge of Red Grange, Jim Thorpe, Babe Ruth or even Jim Brown. . . Guess the Kansas Comet might factor in there as well.
Great list but I think you missed Gretzky. He amassed 1,000 points faster than anyone. He scored his first 1,000 points in 424 games. The second fastest to score 1,000 points? Gretzky. He scored his second 1,000 points in 433 games which is second all time. He has 23 records that will most likely never be broken. Absolutely a phenom and hands down the best ever in the NHL.

I have ESPN+, but I can only access it on my phone through the ESPN app. If someone far smarter than I can walk me through how to share the link I will gladly share it with everyone.

I have ESPN+ with the Hulu/Disney+ package. No way to share the video, but Manning lamenting his kids loving the Chiefs was a great opener:

Quote:
They [the Chiefs] are really fun to watch in person. I actually took my kids to the Chiefs/Browns game a couple weeks ago. Sat up there with Eric Stonestreet...My kids were decked out in Chiefs jerseys. They got Mahomes on. They got Tyreek Hill. Your kids are wearing Chiefs jerseys, you just gotta suck it up. Now I refused to take a picture with the mascot. He wanted a picture with me. He got one with my kids. I said, No. I'll do it with my kids. I'm not doing it with the mascot. Ok? I mean enough's enough. Are you kidding me? I mean the nerve of that mascot to ask me. But my kids wear Chiefs jerseys to a football game, and then we go skiing this past weekend and my son's in a Mahomes jersey to ski in. And his buddy, Zack, is wearing a Mahomes Texas Tech jersey. I mean everywhere I go, it's Mahomes, Mahomes, Mahomes. Tells you what kind of great player he is if he's got some huge 9 year old fans out here in Denver, Colorado.
