This is maybe the worst take I've read all year.

With a running game, whether it was Kareem Hunt or CEH, Mahomes has FAR more time to scan the field and make a play.

Without a true #1 stud RB, defenses can ignore the running game and pressure Mahomes, which of course, leads to injuries that limit his effectiveness.

CEH doesn't need to lead the league in rushing like Kareem Hunt but Andy's system most definitely needs a Top 10 running back in order to operate at its highest level of efficiency.

This offense runs so smooth with a good rb it almost looks effortless.

I'm not against having a good run game at all. The less pressure on Mahomes, the better. In particular it's great to not have him taking so many big hits from the pass rush.

Just saying that he's the only QB that doesn't need a good rushing attack to win a ton of games. Part of that is due to Andy's playcalling and the weapons in the system, but part of it is due to Mahomes' talent as well.

Just curious, but did we talk about Kyler Murray and D. Hopkins performance already? I just saw a short clip of the highlights today, but it looked like they had some good chemistry and also, they torched the 49ers secondary. Did they look as good in the actual game, or did the highlights create a skewed sense of what really happened?

They were both very good. Murray has always impressed me and he looked great again today. Biggest issue with the Cardinals offense as a whole is their offensive line; it’s bad. Also the play calling is kinda gimmicky at times, kinda brilliant at others. Murray made a lot happen by scrambling, pretty sure he had over 100 yards rushing .

Kyler's passer rating was 78 on a scale of 158. That Niner defense is still really freaking good. Cardinals hit some big time clutch plays to win the game.

Them being able to pull out that win given the disparity between the 9ers d line and the Cardinals o line is pretty insane. We saw how much trouble the 9ers d line gave Mahomes, and we have a quality Oline unlike Arizona.

They got a huge blocked punt when it was 10-0 and from there the game was different.

Kyler Murray is the best young QB in the NFC.

Blocked punt was massive. Game looked like it was heading to blowout city for the Niners, but the punt block shifted momentum in a huge way. The Arizona defense really hung in there too. Scratched and clawed to keep the Niners from running up a ton of points on them.

I watched every play and I didn’t think KM looked all that great on throws to anyone other than Nuk. But to KM’s credit, he just threw the ball to Nuk a shitload. He looked great scrambling but he always does. Hey, nice win that’ll work every time. It’s also possible the Chiefs did to Jimmy Grapes what the Royals did to Matt Harvey after the 2015 WS (ruined him). Grapes looked like hot trash yesterday.

True. The Cards Oline is aids. But not having Deforest Buckner is a huge deal for SF

Kinlaw was a ghost. With that much talent around him he should be able to make a difference.

Ya it definitely seemed like it was heading towards a blowout.

Big props to the Cardinals defense. This is what happens when the 9ers can’t run the ball at will. Grapes just doesn’t have it. He had the chance to win the game, and he made 2 awful throws at the end. I’d be shocked if they ever make it to another super bowl with that lame duck at QB. Rodgers and Wilson both look like they’re going to be insane this year, I just don’t see the 9ers having much luck in the playoffs, if they even get there.

Josh Allen is a one-read QB. That was good enough to beat the Jets though.

Watch Allen's head..it does not move.

That was also part of his college tape. He can't throw when moving to the left.
