also....when Michonne was whistling to draw walkers in...I got a little excited thinking she was gonna make a couple more "pets".

He's laughable. Merle would have ended him first chance he got. So would any of our group before this season when the writers turned them all into people they aren't.
In the comics I understand Negan works extremely well. In the TV version, not so much.

That part where Negan asked Carl what he thought and he replied "I think you should jump out of that window and save me the trouble of killing you" was word for word from the comics.
