This is getting ridiculous in the media center. Okay, its not what you like or how it was in the past. Get the **** over it.

Hollywood no longer makes movies for middle aged white men with goatees with all white male casts. That era is over.

It's a stupid super hero movie not an affront to your political and or cultural beliefs. You don't like it, don't watch it.

And media, what it's become the last hundred years was run by us for us. And why? capitalism. Money dictates media and guess what...other people have it. Not just us

You don't like media? Sorry bud. We're not the target audience anymore

We're not being marginalized. Our voice isn't being suppressed. we simply aren't where the most revenue can be found. Not anymore.

The world has moved on, and if we don't stop crying like victims and asking for special treatment just because we're white dudes, it's gonna leave us behind. Because other people want different things, and there's just plain more of them. We had our day. It's over. We're not special and we're not entitled to anything. We built the world this way and it's silly to complain about it now. Don't like what's on TV or on the radio or on the internet? Turn it off. Find something else.

That's what people who aren't us have always done.

What, exactly, is the appeal of a woman being masculine, buff, aggressive, able to defeat multiple strong men in close combat, and have no significant vulnerabilities?

In real life, that's a woman that nobody wants to associate with, aside from fetishes.

Why is it such a common trope in modern media?

She usually throws down with people on Hulks level. Her comics historically were more comedic in nature.

She-Hulk first appeared in Feb, 1980. She has been around longer than I have.

Me too.

But still...what's the appeal?

Does she really stand alone as a competent character, or is she just one of many diversity cash-ins?

I can understand it on occasion, as a novelty...

But it's all there is now.

Rey "Skywalker".
Captain Marvel.
Wonder Woman 1984.
The lady on The Mandalorian that beat up Boba Fett.
Every woman from Black Panther.

Less Mary Sue's and more Ellen Ripley, please.

Oh Jesus ****ing Christ.

What's the point of bringing out Moon Knight then? He's not a popular character. Marvel is bringing out properties and seeing if they become a hit.

Are you really telling me that you thought a Scarlet Witch/Vision show was going to do well?

Mother****ers need to stop acting like a female character has to fit into what you want. These shows aren't FOR YOU. Not every show has to be for you or match what you're looking for.

Don't like how it looks? Don't ****ing watch it.

My issue is not with Marvel attempting to profit off its lesser-known properties.

My issue is with their (and the majority of media's) pathological inability to write relatable female characters, which I strongly suspect has everything to do with their ideology.

I want She-Hulk to be good, but after what I've seen so far, I have little faith.

She and Spider Woman were created for the sole reason to avoid copyright problems. They were worried that the CBS Hulk TV series would pull a Bionic Woman and create a She-Hulk.

Worked out for Marvel.
