Who are you trying to convince? You or me?

The Broncos have (I think?) the longest streak without a playoff appearance in the NFL. If it's not them, they're at least close to being the longest. Morons with power is why they've been losers for so long. Guys like Paton. That's why they're losers.

And for some reason you think Paton is great and should keep his job. You got what you got out of Paton. You've seen what he is. And you want more of it.

Shit, at least Chiefs fans were smart enough to realize Pioli was a fraud. You actually believe that the way forward for your franchise is what you've currently got at GM.

Unbelievable.

Q Joe “believes” in whoever is currently in the Broncos’ front office, on the coaching staff, or on the roster. As soon as that person leaves the organization, he throws them under the bus, blames them for everything that went wrong, and begins fellating their replacement. Wash, rinse, repeat, with no exceptions. It really is that simple.

He's my 2nd favorite GM.

SIgning turds like Zach Allen to huge deals, getting minimal production and blowing multiple picks on one of the worst QBs in the league.

I love George Paton!

Imagine not only paying Russel Wilson nearly as much as Mahomes, but also the draft capital wasted on him. Same for that washed up Payton.

It’s amazing if you look at it even from an unbiased perspective. Absolutely no one would look at Paton’s resume and Veach’s resume and come away thinking Paton was even close to Veach. Veach has made better FA signings overall and has drafted far better despite drafting near the end of the first round every year. Veach also was smart enough to walk away from Tyreek when he did and used the assets and cap space to build the foundations of this back to back SB run.

Paton did draft Surtain II, but it’s clear that he is not a player who moves the needle on a bad team. Not saying that he’s a bad player at all because he isn’t, but when you are drafting Top 10, you have more pressing needs than CB (outside of freak situations). The Wilson situation is a fireable offense. Veach turned something like $700 into long term deals for Mahomes (the largest contract ever), Jones, and Kelce while Paton is eating a massive dead cap hit because of the Wilson contract. He has failed on all his HC picks and it remains to be seen if Payton is the savior Denver hopes he is.

Overall the best we can hope for as KC fans is that the Broncos ownership team thinks of Paton the way Knowmo does. It will ensure they continue to be at the bottom looking up to one of their biggest rivals who lap them in every category. All they will have is post draft hope before reality inevitably crushes them again.

Looks a lot like the Chiefs plan in the late 1970's and all of the 1980's. Good times those were!

All of the 70s. It was all downhill after the 1971 division title.

Exactly, before the draft he was all about McCarthy, because there were stories linking him to Denver. Now it's,"Nix was my guy all along!"

He's such a predictable Mule Tool.

Oh, I know. I'm an oldtimer. Just didn't want to get ripped for lumping '70 and '71 in with the 70's.
