My wife and I were going to do a 6 day thing up in the North East, check out Maine etc. BUT GAAAAHDAAYUM it's expensive. So...we're going to Belize. No joke. It's cheaper.

True story here, it's pretty but I ****ING HATE BEING HOT, and as I get older I like people less so going somewhere colder and less populated sounds pleasant. |

Wife and I were looking to do the same back in 2019. Ended up going to Scotland, it was less expensive. Hawaii would have been less expensive at the time.

HA! Scotland and England were close runners up for the same reason. It's amazing that a trip here in America costs less than a trip abroad.

The national parks alone can keep you busy for a while. Teton and Yellowstone in Wyoming, Glacier in Montana. You could even keep going into Canada and do Banff and Jasper if you've got the time and energy.
Just pay attention to conditions at different times of the year - I've technically been to Glacier, but we went in July, and Going-to-the-Sun Road still wasn't cleared of snow even then. You'd want to aim for late July through early September for the best experience. Aside from that, the cities are all fine, but nothing I'd go out of my way for. |

Not to derail the thread too much, but for you Belizers, where did you stay and what did you do? My wife and I like to take a "get out of the cold" vacation over MLK weekend, and Belize is on my radar for this year.

You might have to get into contact with Crave Johnsons girlfriend, she seems to be the authority on Belize
