*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I had a hell of a time finding anything on that Tennessee throw or the 2017 throw vs Denver so if anyone has a source for hi-res photos of that shit...spill.

A lot of good ones in his top 100 vid. They had a sweet angle on his cross field pass to Kelce in Denver and also the Robinson TD vs the Chargers as he was being tackled

The pass to Kelce in end zone against Cleveland. Absolutely perfect pass and catch. So beautiful.

Meh. He has 1 year. He went from -- to 4.

They'llcorrect their mistake next season. Everyone knows Patrick Mahomes was the best player in football in 2018.

Forget the ranking. It was was a fun segment. Will watch 1000 times.

I watched all the vids of Mack, Brees and Donald...and they are really good football players. I'm OK with Pat at 4 I guess, though I think he's easily the best QB I understand why the players still think of Brees. At his age, he's better than Brady and Rogers. Yep, I said it.

Patty'll get there.

THE TAPE!!!! OH THE HUGE MANATEE NOT THE TAPE!!!

WE'RE DOOMED!!!! THEY HAVE THE TAPE!!!!!

Quote:
“Under Andy Reid, we’ve seen his quarterbacks flourish,” Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann said on Reiter Than You. “Andy does a great job with his offenses, but you go back a couple of years. The Kansas City Chiefs, three or four years ago, did not throw a touchdown pass to a wide receiver, and the following year they only threw 16 total. I think you have to give defenses credit in the National Football League for understanding what a young quarterback does and then how they start to defend it.”

Rest assured that NFL defensive coordinators watched a lot of Mahomes' tape this offseason.

“Which way does Patrick like to escape the pocket? Well, we’re not going to let him do that anymore,” Theismann said. “What routes does he have problems with? We’re not going to give him the opportunity to throw anymore. So it’s a little bit of a chess game going back and forth, but he’s certainly a wonderful talent. He’s a video game. In this day and age when there’s so many video games, it’s great.”

Getting sick of the whole "Defenses have tape now!!!" mantra. You know who else defenses have tape on?? Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, et. al.

When PMII goes for 4,550 yard, 42 TDS with 6 INT the mantra will be he's regressed. Never mind the D is improved, the team went 14 - 2, has home field throughout the playoffs and in the SB PMIII regressed dammit!!!
