The Motorcycle Discussion Thread

I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.

Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16)

Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you:

Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere
Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel)
C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel

Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too.
http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75

Found a pic of one of my old bikes. This was my 2005 Big Dog Mastiff. Fun scooter with a 107 inch S&S motor and a 240 rear tire.

I don't think I am. It was 6:30 yesterday morning so still dark... Was going around a curve at about 45 and hit a patch of leaves.. I don't remember exactly what happened after that... Just remember laying in the road with pain in my elbows, and leg.

I'm doin alright man... Am filing my claim today.

The bike has a caved in tank, broken LED Mirror, highway pegs got jacked up... turn signal light broken off... and tons of scrapes\scratches across it.... other than that.... it'll be fixable... doubt it's totaled.

I just got some road rash, a twisted knee, banged up elbows, ripped up jeans\jacket, and a very bruised ego. A week later, I've got no ill effects (save the ego).

Figured I'd post this. I'm riding on Sunday for this event. I don't have any affiliation with it, I just like trying to do one charity ride per month when weather cooperates. Sunday looks like decent riding weather. If anyone ends yo wanting to go, hit me up if you're interested in riding out to the event together. My brother and I are two "for sures" with a few invites out to some of our normal riding buddies. All are welcome to roll out with us,,

Sunday 11/9
5th Annual Dice Run for Autism
$25 for riders. $15 for passengers
High/low dice rolls and 50/50 raffle tickets
Bike show and silent auction
After ride activities and family friendly environment.

Rider registration 0800-1000 on Sunday morning. Breakfast 800-1000 with donation. Fee includes patch and lunch
Ride begins and ends at 3530 N Myrtle, KCMO 64117

Kick stands up at 1100

Apparently 3 stops, the 2nd of which is lunch. Haven't seen a route pop up just yet though. There is A Facebook page for it as we'll I believe,
