Those guys you listed are worthless in a deal like this. They’re fluff, no value.

Everyone in the league knew Alex Smith couldn’t take a team to the SB and Washington still forked over a proven good player and a 3. He was like 34 years old. And everyone knew it was a bandaid solution at best.

Trading Rodgers for a package like that at this point of the offseason is just asking to get fired.

Now his choices are: 1. Continue to hold out hope 2. Let him retire 3. Trade him now 4. Let Rodgers get another year older and trade him for even less next year. |

The odds of Denver trading for him is significant higher next March than it is next month |

https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/green-ba...-rodgers-3745/ I do not know if fines and forfeited salary can be rolled over, but Green Bay could be in good shape to get salary cap relief from Rodgers hold out and then release him outright and let him be a free agent for 2022. Green Bay ought to send a player from last year's team to the media and have them talk about how big a pussy Rodgers was to not run the ball past the LOS on 3rd down in the NFC Championship game. It is chickenshit for him to gun for Gutenkist, who is just a guy trying to be a success in his chosen profession, and has done okay. That really is chickenshit to be a guy who has earned $240 million in his NFL career to date and is contracted to receive another 75 million through 2023, to be such an asshole to someone nobody knows anything about. Packers should let the buddy****er Rodgers walk and get some cap relief and let some other team hire his drama queen ass next year after his fiancée-actress becomes his ex-fiancée . I wonder if State Farm would want him for commercials if he is holding out after he played like a pussy when the NFC Championship game was still a contest. It would be cool to see one person in the media challenging Aaron Rodgers instead of it being a 100% unanimous ass-kiss. |

If Rodgers was in a contract year then yeah he could potentially retire and force their hand bc they would have to pay a shit load of money to him on the franchise tag to keep that hope alive but they have him under contract for a few more years which makes it difficult for Rodgers to gain much leverage.
