Lots of rumors that Arenado is pushing Mo and Dewitt to open the wallet or he’s opting out. Those rumors seem to be true.

So he is opting out then?

Unless he is talking about his own bank account, how the **** do you prove to him you've spent money on the roster before he has to decide if hes opting out?

Who knows what was said? He obviously said something because Mo admitted he did at a public press conference.

Arenado has 5 days after the WS ends to opt-out. What can they do in that time period to assuage him? He opts-out, he won’t be back.

He opts out then he's going home to LA after the Dodgers decline Justin Turner's option.

Yep, they can afford to give him as big a pile of money as he wants.

Sounds like it is not a done deal for Arenado to return but it does seem probable. I like that he is pressing Mo about what the vision is.

Some in here told him to leave and go to LA when he disappeared in the series. Most of the team disappeared. Philly is proving to be a way tougher team than we thought.

Arenado has what passes for a “good contract” these days. Our offense can’t let 30HR/100RBI’s just walk away by the Cardinals choice.

Arenado didn't really disappear, though. He didn't get results but he wasnt exactly going down quietly. He made a ton of hard, loud contact. Goldschmidt was the one that completely disappeared. When you build a lineup thats pretty much 90% 2 guys and 1 of them is getting unlucky and the other vanishes in thin air, not going to be much offense left.

Yup.

Arenado was fine - though he had a rough error in that inning that got away from them.

Goldschmidt was a disaster through September into the Post-season. He was flat out bad.

The BFIB has simply lost track of how good the depth on championship teams is.

Noot, Yepez, Donovan and Gorman - these are valuable bench players for championship caliber teams.

Those aren't guys you worry about blocking in the starting lineup.

Goldschmidt turned into Cpl. Upham during that series. I don't know how anyone in the organization could ever trust him in a big spot.

At least that is good news. The remaining contract is a bargain after the Rockies pay their part.
