The Clemson pre-injury/surgery Ross is exactly the kind of receiver this offense needs.

We aren't that kind of offense anymore, we are more ball control passing.

Mahomes can win with any shit. Throw 4 eligible OL out wide and he'll still beat you.

It depends on our personnel obviously, but I think we all know Mahomes can beat you no matter what defense you throw at him. 2 high Fangio has just been the fad recently.

And I've got a feeling that fad is about to become passe.

The Fangio-consulted Eagles were completely helpless

I think they're looking at MVS for a little speed.

Ross and Toney have all sorts of speed and skill. If one of them is totally healthy we will be better than last year on offense.

The guy has a huge uphill battle. Looking at the roster one can easily see that the top 4 WR's are fairly established at this point for a variety of reasons. That leaves you with 2 WR's that could potentially make it onto the 53 man roster from a pool of 10 remaining WR's.

Considering Justyn Ross doesn't play special teams his likelihood of making the 53 man roster as the 5th or 6th WR are almost nil.

What I don't understand is the statement that Justyn Ross "doesn't" play special teams. Isn't it just that he hasn't in the past? Can't he LEARN to play ST? Is there something wrong with him that he CAN'T play ST?

I mean, no WR 6 is making a team without playing ST. So he's out unless he learns.

The prediction of Justyn Ross not making the 53 took a huge hit when Hopkins didn't sign.

Chances are better he is on the team than off at this point. I don't know why anyone would poo poo his chances other than being a debbie downer.

It's not hard to understand. He doesn't play special teams as he has never been asked to. He wouldn't be a returner or any kind. That is not the type or player he is. Sure you could throw him out there to the wolves. There will be growing pains but the most you could expect rom his is to be in a gunner role like Marcus Kemp. Exciting!

I just see with the investment the organization has put into players like Justin Watson and Richie James it isn't hard to see that barring injury, Justyn Ross is a huge longshot to make it over them.
