The Bengals DL struggled today against a pretty mediocre OL.

Hendrickson looks uninterested in anything but chasing sacks, Hubbard looks like he took a step back, and they really, really miss Reader in the middle.

Dax Hill has also not stepped up at all and looks like a bust, and they have never found a solid replacement for Bates.

Logan Wilson is still a good all-around LB in the middle and they still have some talent and Antrim’s is still a smart coordinator, but this is not the Bengals defense of 2021 and 2022.

Biggest question for me is what their offense looks like week 2. A full-go Chase changes looks a lot.

NFL players need to be smart enough to keep their helmets on. So no one recognizes them in public. Let neighbors think they won the Lottery

JaMarr Chase next week every snap he's out there with Burrow throwing limp ducks, down 31-10, with Mahomes grinning on the sidelines.

The Been-Gals looked ugly and disjointed, like first game of the pre-season with all back-ups playing ugly and disjointed.

With zero pressure all game Joe was jumpy and going to the check downs pretty quickly ADT was like 3-4 yards and that was without pressure.

Bengals will bring a better game against the Chiefs.
Doesn't matter, Chiefs will win IMO

Been-Gals are 1 - 10 in the first two weeks of the season under Zac Taylor, soon to be 1 - 11.

I think it was obvious that the Bengals were overlooking the Pats and had an eye on their game with us this week. It was a trap game and they fell in it.

I expect them to play great against us...we are their most hated rival.

We should expect a tight game...we are everybody's super bowl.

Same thing last year when Burrow was struggling with his calf injury. The Bengals offense was non-existent for the first several games of the season. Eventually he got more comfortable with the calf situation and their offense became pretty successful until Burrow’s wrist injury. The backup QB did a pretty solid job for them, but they missed the Playoffs without Burrow.

I think this game will be on the Chiefs DL.

The Bengals defense stands little chance against this emerging juggernaut. Without DJ Reader, they got absolutely plowed by the Patriots, and the Chiefs also are fond of multi-TE sets. Pacheco may break 100 this game.

Lou Anarumo (sp?) is a great DC and the last few times he's played KC, he floods that intermediate zone and dares Mahomes to beat him deep. I expect he'll have a little success with that but this may be the game where Worthy gets some bombs thrown his way. Between those deep shots and a run game that Cincy will have to overcommit to stop, I see the Chiefs dropping 30+ this game.

Once you have to overcommit to an aspect of the Chiefs offense, Andy Reid will counter you to hell and back.

The Bengals offense still has weapons to challenge KC and to keep up, so long as Burrow has his head screwed on. But he looked awfully tentative in the face of a good passrush last week. If the DL can put heat on him, he flinches now in ways he simply hasn't in the past.

I was more sour on the Chiefs secondary from the Ravens game than most people were -- I thought their assignments were routinely messed up. The Bengals have a far better assortment of weapons, even without Chase, than the Ravens do, so this will be a clearer challenge for them.

But if you rattle Burrow, I don't think it'll matter. And unfortunately for the Bengals, I simply don't think their OL is very good.

I entered this season believing the Chiefs would be kinda lucky to start off 2-0. If Burrow returns to prime form, this game could legitimately be a shootout that the Chiefs could lose because I am not currently crazy about our secondary aside from Reid and McDuffie. But if Burrow keeps burrowing like he did against the Patriots, I think 2-0 is far more likely than not.

In short, we have more answers for the Bengals on both sides for the ball than they have for us. I think we are likely to win this game, like, 31-20.
